Mom and daughter.

Claudia Lynn is two days old and is now home! We arrived home at around 1:00pm after stopping for a sandwich. Kasey is pretty tired and is hoping for a nap shortly. All of Claudia Lynn's tests are going well. She returns to the doctor tomorrow for a check-up.

Today we hope to rest a bit and have dinner with grandma. Maybe read a book to the baby. And of course, play with Abby.

Her head is getting a little closer to normal shape after the delivery squished a bit. I have also discovered that some of the outfits are not as easy to put on as I hoped. It took me awhile to find all the snaps!

Abby is a good dog. She immediately layed down and watched over Claudia. She was a little more curious when Claudia came out of the car seat and Kasey was carrying her. It will take some time for her I am sure. We are lucky to have such a good dog.

As requested, a picture with all three of us.

Abby's back! She seemed to have a great time at the Zamary's. She was much happier to see my mom than she was to see me!

Claudia has a had a good day two so far. She slept most of the morning and afternoon getting up only twice for a feeding and for the doctor to check her out. She has been a very nice baby.

Grandma Keating was there msot of the morning and then passed duties off to Grandma Schneider who arrived from Pennsylvania around 3:00pm. Claudia promptly fell asleep, again. Her first outfit was given to her by her cousins Kerry and Elizabeth (...and Margo?). Many more gifts have been sent and I forgot to bring the first shipment home tonight.

Lisa Pennell visited with her mother and Jake this morning (Michelle stopped by as well). The McKennas visited around 5:00pm and they were followed by the KA-Mary-Margo group you see in the picture. I left around 6:00 and I am not sure if more arrived. Soon I will get the call and go pick up Abby, who I hope is ready to come home after being pampered by the Zamarys for two days.

We should all be home tomorrow. Remember, we might not answer the phone for awhile.

I adjusted the blog so anyone can leave comments. Let me know if it doesnt work. Sometimes blogs are attacked by spam machines, so I might adapt it.

Claudia Lynn was born on December 28 at 12:09pm. She is the product of the hard work of the high risk doctors at Yale New Haven. She was born after 21 hours of labor. Yes, Kasey is tired.

This picture was taken in the nursery where Claudia Lynn was poked and prodded and measured and bathed. She hardly rose a fuss at all to this commotion. She weighs 8lbs and 2.5oz and is 20.75 inches long. She has a lot of hair and big feet! She did well on all of her tests. She can grip really well.

Here Claudia Lynn gets her first singing lesson at about 1 hour old. Notice that they are practicing the OH vowel. It came out more like heh, but I thought it was a good start.

Claudia had visits from Uncle Marc and Aunt Patty. Cousins Jack, Hunter, Riley, and Monique were there right at the beginning. The cousins couldnt get too close but saw their cousin through the glass of the nursery. Great Uncles Bill and Jeff were baby Claudia's first visitors. Grandma Keating was there for the duration and Grandma Schneider will arrive tomorrow. Grandpa Keating kept tabs from Las Vegas and we know Grandpa Schneider watched over the baby for the entire pregnancy.

Here is Claudia at 5 minutes old, sleeping already. Claudia, Kasey and I send a special hello to Uncle Tyler! We are thinking about you!!
