Claudia has had lots of meals out to celebrate birthdays. She ate celery while Mommy had chicken wings and had lots of cake and ice cream. She had big fun with her cousins Hunter and Jack.

Of course, her sleep schedule had been crazy with all the food and crazy routine so she has been a bit....challenging at times.

Claudia has had a busy week. Her grandma visited from Pennsylvania for a few days and they had lots of fun talking about stuff. Claudia is also helping her grandma Kathy move into her new house.

We went swimming many times. Claudia can float on her back now if we hold her arms. She is getting real strong and big.

I have been having difficulty fixing a leak at our dishwasher so I asked Claudia to help me hold the flashlight and hand me the screwdriver. She also made several suggestions and I think she may have fixed the problem.

Claudia also very much likes throwing rocks for Abby in the river. Abby likes it too.

Claudia went to a fun concert in Woodbury where the symphony played. It was hot but she had a good time. She got to get meet some of Daddy's friends and even played on their drums.

Today Claudia went to her friend Taylor's birthday party. Claudia had lots of cake.

Claudia and her friend Taylor went blueberry picking today. They both did an excellent job.

Claudia also got to ride a tractor (it looks a lot like her grandma's tractor!). Taylor has a birthday party on Sunday and Claudia can't wait to go.

Claudia went to see a Polo match with her friends Maddy and Harrison. It was a fabulous day, partly cloudy and about 75 degrees. Everyone had a real good time.

Claudia has her cousin Monique over and she is having lots of fun. Claudia really likes Monique. Right now they are playing in their fort. Claudia says "Monique" very well. We are probably off to the Lake Quassapaug tonight.

Claudia is now 33" tall and weighs almost 26 lbs. That is the 90% for height and 75% for weight. She is still off the charts for head size. Everything else went very well at the doctors office.

Claudia had fun going out to dinner with Uncle Rick and Aunt Pidge to Carlitos restaurant. She didnt eat too much. Perhaps she got spoiled by her Uncle Tyler's cooking.

We are getting a lot of hits in Spain. Claudia has Margo in Spain but there are many more people tuning in. We would love to fill out Claudia's clustrmap (look on the right). If you have friends in a blank spot, lets have some fun and see if we can get them to log in.

Claudia is back from her vacation to Pennsylvania. Claudia did lots of fun stuff while there. She spent lots of time with her Grandmother supervising the construction of the new patio. Lots of digging was going on.

Claudia really liked saying hi to her friend Harley.

The Hooorssess are still being talked about "mimishouse has hooorsess." It was "bye-bye hoorssess" all the way home.

And of course there were a few dozen rides on the new tractors. Claudia even thinks Grammy bought a new tractor just for her.

Claudia really liked the Science Museum.

Father's Day was fun as we played in the river, watched a bike race, and had lots of good food. Claudia likes the river a lot. She went to Quassy today and played in the water for a long time.

Today was the last day of school (graduation tonight). Soon we go to visit everyone in Pennsylvania.

Claudia had lots of fun on her trip to Boston. She ate at Quincy Market and visited the Aquarium to see all the fishes. She had a good time playing with Elizabeth and Kerry. 1-2-3-Swing!

Today Claudia (and her trusty backpack!) are off to visit Boston. From what I hear there are big plans.

Claudia had fun helping Grandma prepare to move into her new house last night. She is a good organizer.

Claudia is starting to do some chores and help out. She likes to set the table and help us organize stuff. This also means we have to discipline her some more as she discovers that it is not OK to play with electricity or other cool things.

Claudia had a fun Memorial Day. She went to the Southbury parade and enjoyed waving at all the marchers.

We also went to Kettletown for a picnic which we have been doing 2-3 times per week. We had fun picking flowers, playing with Abby, and swimming in the river. Click on the flickr link for more photos.

Claudia went to a reception at the library last night. She looked very cute and was a big hit. But then she got kind of cranky and we had to go home. She didn't feel well overnight either.

Her cousin Jack came over to play and go for a long walk. We think Jack likes not being the youngest anymore. Tonight we all go to hear cousin Monique sing at her concert.

Almost forgot this one. Classic. Claudia is in there somewhere.

Claudia took Mommy and Grandma Keating out for brunch on Mother's Day and they had lots of fun. Claudia ate lots of cake (there was a whole room for desserts). We then went to Lake Quassapaug and bought our first season pass. All the beach, rides, parking, and fun we can handle! Claudia took some rides all by herself.

By the way, I beat her in the Jurrasic Park game.

Go team! Claudia is an excellent walker.

Grandma Schneider arrived from Pennsylvania last night and had dinner with Claudia. We also had visits from Judy Lewis and Gene Banks who brought a nice teddy bear that got a nice big hug from Claudia.

Claudia also came to the track meet on Friday and was watched over by her friends Kara and Melita (and many others). She got a little tired but all in all she did very well, of course.

Claudia can't wait to visit her godmothers in Boston next month. Big fun!

Claudia voted today! She is also starting to work on her garden.

Claudia had big fun in Pennsylvania. She really liked eating at Uncle Tyler's restaurant, as you can see. She ate lots of his pasta!

She also had fun going to the park. However, the park was invaded by a bunch of delinquents and Claudia kept her eye on them.

But most of all she liked playing with the horses, dogs, and the tractor! She LOVES riding in the gator. She had big fun with Grammy and Aunt Susannah and can't wait to see them again.

Today we will go to see Grandma Schneider, Aunt Susannah, Uncle Tyler and all the horses, dogs, cats, cows, etc....

But first we have to find where Mommy hid Claudia's nose. As you can see from the picture, there is no question that she took it.

We all went to the Good News Cafe in Woodbury to celebrate vacation. The restaurant is consistently voted one of the best in Connecticut.

Claudia was a very good girl. We were there for over 90 minutes and ate three courses. She ate the whole time....

She is practicing her smiley face a lot.

We also went to the dog park today and to Southford Falls. Busy day!

We spent time at Kettletown the past few days for picnics. Claudia likes it a lot. Abby does as well.

We also went to the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport for Earth Day. Claudia liked the sheep (BAA! BAA! BAA!) and the tiger the best. They also had an Earth Day concert where should could dance. She also got to show off her bear riding skills.

Claudia and I had a wonderful trip to Florida. The weather was great and the time Claudia spent with all her cousins, Aunt Patty, Uncle Marc and Grandma couldn't have been any better. I think Claudia's favorite part of the trip was the POOL! She would swim and jump from the side and loved playing with the toy turtle. She thought eating lunch poolside with her cousins was cool too. Patty and Marc showed us all the good restaurants in Sanibel.
Claudia was sad to see the Shay's leave on Monday but quickly settled into a quiet routine with Grandma and Mommy. We went for a bike ride every morning and then spent most of the day at the pool and beach. We made some nice trips to Captiva and enjoyed some really good meals. Then a bike ride in the afternoon and a beautiful sunset after dinner. We sure had lots of laughs and lots of fun.
Claudia got to see her first alligator too!!!

All the time Claudia spent barefoot really helped her walking. She now officially walks on her own but ohhhh so carefully! She still prefers holding someone's hand but she can do it! I am sure we will post a video soon.

I got a call from Florida and Kasey said that everyone got in fine. Claudia had her flight delayed so she didn't get in until 10:45. Kasey says Claudia was very polite to everyone until the last 10 minutes as they were descending. All the passengers said Claudia was a very good girl.

Claudia leaves for Florida today with Kasey. Daddy has to stay home and work.

Claudia has been cranky but she woke up from a late nap today and was ready to go. She talked on the phone with her Grandma in Pennsylvania for a good ten minutes which is a new record. We have been practicing saying Hi and Bye and Meh-Meh (grammy).

She also spent a lot of time working on her composition. Watch her face. Enjoy.

Claudia had her 15 month check-up on Friday. She weighs 23.1 lbs, is 31.5 inches tall, and has a 50cm head circumference. As you can see below she walks all day, but she still won't let go of our hand or her walker. She is close......but just won't do it.

She has been a little cranky lately as we have all been a bit sick, but she is a very patient baby most of the time.

Claudia had fun at her first Easter Egg hunt in Southbury. It was a frenzy. Video to come shortly.

A mid-March storm has stopped the onslaught of spring. We had flowers blooming during the crazy weather of January so I am not sure how vibrant the spring will be. However, we had planned on this being "spring clean-up" weekend.

Claudia spent the morning sledding on the driveway. Big fun. If things clear we look for St. Patricks Day stuff to do. We also have basketball to watch. Mr. Kurt will be coming over tomorrow to watch basketball with Claudia.

OK, I think its time for another clustrmap hunt. Last time we worked for a hit in Africa and we got it. There are plenty of blank spots left in the map (look on the right). If you can send this on to any friends who can get us a hit in Alaska, Hawaii, Central America, or Central Africa that would be really cool.

Claudia and her friend Taylor have been having big fun!

Claudia had an extra special visit from her godmothers Kerry and Elizabeth this weekend. She was a little shy and wouldnt do her animal noises (seep, lion, pig, horse, duck, dog, and cat we can do, plus the dinosaur Bard).

Claudia is almost walking. She has been walking holding our hands for about 3-4 weeks and is slowly gaining confidence. She wore her running shoes for the first time and is pretty excited about it.
